RIMO department store is a fashion store with 7 chains all over Indonesia. In 2001, RIMO decided to replace their magnetic membership card to smart card. To become the first retailer in Indonesia that was using smart card. Loyalty using smart card has proven to be very effective in accelerating membership recruitment. From 50,000 members in 2001 to reach 330,000 members in 2007, with more than 50% revenue generated from the loyal members.

Izzi Pizza

The first restaurant that was using smart card for its membership, with 7 outlets in Jakarta, Izzi Pizza has almost 10,000 members. This also proves that loyalty could be implemented in food industry, despite on taste only.

Health Card (Pertamina hospital)

Danamon Simpan Pinjam is a division of Bank Danamon for SME market (Small Medium Enterpise). Bank Danamon is fourth larget bank in Indonesia and owned by Temasek Holding of Singapore. Started in 2004, to become the first bank that was using smart card for biometrc applications to the customers. With more than 700 outlets across Indonesia and more than 1.2 million smart cards in the customers’ hand. Danamon Simpan Pinjam became an icon how a big bank could successfully reach SME market.
